My Story...ish
Once upon a time in a world filled with societal expectations, there lived a woman named Kristin, who was the queen of people-pleasing and defined by her trauma. Whether it was dressing to impress, nodding along to conversations she couldn’t care less about, or sacrificing her own needs for the sake of harmony, Kristin was a pro at putting everyone else first. Her friends affectionately dubbed her the “Yes Woman”—but it was starting to feel more like a straightjacket than a badge of honor. She constantly sought love, acceptance, and validation in a myriad of apps and men.

One fateful day, while scrolling through social media (as one does), Kristin stumbled upon a post about an ISTA retreat. Intrigued, she clicked on the link, half-expecting a spammy advertisement for adult toys. Instead, she found a vibrant community celebrating the fusion of spirituality and sensuality, inviting her to embrace her inner goddess. “Wait a minute,” she thought, “I’ve been told to please everyone else, but what if I finally got to please myself?”

With a mix of excitement and nervousness, Kristin signed up for her first tantra workshop. Upon arrival, she was greeted by a charismatic instructor who looked like a mix between a guru and a rock star, complete with flowing robes and a kaleidoscope of energy. “Welcome to your liberation!” he proclaimed. “Let’s ignite the fire within!”

As the workshop unfolded, Kristin learned about the power of breath, movement, and connection—tools that felt more like magic than mere techniques. She discovered the joy of saying “no” without guilt and the thrill of expressing her desires openly. The room was filled with laughter, vulnerability, and, dare she say, a whole lot of sexy energy. It felt like shedding a layer of skin, leaving behind the “Yes Woman” and emerging as the fierce, unapologetic version of herself.
